Edwin Noreña - geisha intenso
An explosion of sweet citrus, florals and delicious fruit notes!
Origin: Colombia, Quindio
Farm: Finca Campo Hermoso
Altitude: 1650 masl
Farmer: Edwin Noreña
Variety: geisha
Process: inoculated carbonic honey process
Notes: lemon and lime, rose, and so much more
Brewing: filter, flash brew or modern longer ratio and lighter bodied espresso would be my choice.
This is the first coffee we're featuring from this producer and we're very excited about it. It is a high intervention coffee, but the flavour profile is simply amplified through this and the result is not what I would call "funky" at all. The coffee has high flavour intensity and good clarity and despite the array of citrus notes, we consider this coffee to have medium acidity and high sweetness levels.
We brew this one on a conical brewer to boost clarity and flavour seperation but due to the high flavour intensity, this coffee is relatively forgiving to brew and can work well with an array of brewers.
This is a unique coffee expertly processed and I would encourage those who normally prefer low intervention washed coffees to give this one a shot!
