Service Description

This session is designed to get you brewing great coffee at home. In this hands-on course participants get to try different methods and brewers and work with Curious Coffee's beans. The course duration is 2 hours and priced at 65 USD. It's limited to eight participants so you get the hands-on attention you need. During the session you will be able to brew with coffees from the curious Coffee standard and premium range. I will also have a range of brewers available and some kettles available. If you can bring your favourite brewer, kettle and scales, then we will have even more options. I will brew my coffees using recipes from the cafe and I will also demonstrate some overextracted and underextracted brews so that you can fine tune your taste buds. I will provide resource materials and course notes so that during the session we can really make the most of the time experimenting together and brewing coffee. This will not be a two hour lecture on the history of coffee or the science of coffee extraction! This course is taught by Mike Bawden who has twenty years’ experience in course design and teaching. It will be relaxed and fun and you'll leave equipped with new skills and knowledge. Some prior experience brewing at home is desirable. The course is aimed at everyone from beginners to more advanced brewers. If you have limited brewing experience you might like to take a sensory and tasting workshop with me first.
